The 5th Major 2010 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx This years outing will be held on Sunday 9th May 2010, at Piperdam Golf Club. The 2010 5th Major will be played over 18 holes with the first tee-time at 10:11 and the afternoon will see a 9 hole par 3 competition. The 'Nick McLeod' putting competition will follow after the evening dinner and prize giving ceremony. Buggies have been organised for the morning round. We will be departing from Robert Gordons College, Schoolhill, Aberdeen at around 7:15 - 7.30am. There will be a pick-up at the Altens Thistle Hotel (for The Chief), followed by a pick-up on the A90 for any of the teuchtars. Bacon rolls (one without butter for Dod) and coffee will be served prior to the first tee time. As defending champion, Derek will have the honour of sclaffing the first shot into the loch........Soup and sandwiches will be served prior to the afternoon 9-hole Par 3 event which tees off at 3.30pm The handicap committee gathered on Friday 30th April at Nazma Tandoori restaurant, where the handicaps were discussed and finalised. Much debate was had over the handicaps and the Nigg Bay rules formula was applied. The draw was conducted and overseen by an independant adjudicator (Andy Buchan) and is shown below.
