The 5th Major 2011 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The 5th Major 2011 returns to Strathmore Golf Club, seven years after the infamous Divitgate - 'Nick McLeod 7 of the tee at the 1st' and also the venue for the shortest tee shot in 5th Major history - 2 feet by John Murray. It will be played on Sunday 19th June 2011 with the first tee-time for the 5th Major Stableford competition scheduled for 10:00am. The coach will depart from Schoolhill (outside RGC) at 07:30 with the regular pick-up at the Stonehaven bypass for the teuchtars. Bacon roll and coffee will be served on arrival, with the usual full catering service for lunch and dinner. The aftrenoon 9-hole competition is booked to start at 15:00. The Outing Secretary / Kitty holder (Dod) has already organised the refreshments for the bus journey ................. Tha handicaps were reviewed and discussed at the Curry Night, held on Friday 22nd April. Also discussed, and agreed, were the amendments to the 'Nigg Bay Rules Handicap Adjustment Guidelines. The draw for the 5th Major Stableford competition was completed, but as there are still 2 to confirm their attendance the draw will be distributed in the next couple of weeks.
